VIDEO CONTENT STACK: EXPLAINED

Before starting Hyper House, our team had a lot of incredible opportunities to work on various video projects for some great companies and organizations. However, these projects all had one thing in common - tons of great content was getting left on the editing room floor.

We would spend a few days on set, filming hours of really great footage to compose a 90 second piece, which is very normal. Most video projects leave tons of great footage untouched, for one deliverable. This means that these companies were not maximizing the value of the projects. Thus when we created Hyper House, we knew we wanted to be something different. 

Our model is pretty simple, nonetheless unique. Most videos are just that - a singular video project. They start with two days of pre-production, three days of filming and lastly, three days of post production. Furthermore, for the time, energy, and budget, delivering a one to three minute video to the client. We’ve taken a different approach, we will start with adding on pre-production time; which includes creating a client profile: getting to know the client and their goals. This helps to strategize what kind of content that we should be creating, who we need to hear from, and what we need to hear. Lastly, we will spend three days filming, and maybe an extra day or two in post production. 

Our projects take a little more time, and a little bit more budget. However, instead of one video, we deliver 10, 20, or even 30 videos, each of which were strategically filmed and edited to help you meet your marketing goals and fill your content calendar.

We call these 10, 20, or 30 videos a content stack. It’s a collection of amazing looking video and other content that is in sync with your needs. At the top of the stack is that one Primary video, the two or three minute piece that used to be its own project. Beneath that is what we call Supporting Content. These are shorter clips designed to summarize different aspects of the primary video and reinforce its messages. Finally, we have our Micro Content. These are individual visual elements that come from the rest of the project, but that don’t carry the narrative. Think still photos, cinemagraphs, 360 tours, or website reels.

The bottom line is simple: more strategy, plus more content, means more value. Between our strategic creative direction and the visual content stacks, our clients are getting so much more out of our projects than they would a typical video project. And that’s exactly what we want.
